The Persian Gulf wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have taken a toll on our active duty military and has drummed up memories and mental problems by Vietnam Veterans. Many Vietnam Veterans came back after the war and appeared to have no social problems and were living a fairly normal life. But some ticking time bomb has made many of them start living through the events that went on during the war and is effecting them both physically and mentally. Many have turned to the VA for help and others have not did so. They are suffering from events that went on during the war which is giving them second thoughts about guilt during the war of what they saw. Even those aboard ships are having events like PTSD that were not even on land, from guilt about what happened while they were there. So the VA today is not only dealing with current soldiers in Afghanistan it is helping Vietnam Veterans with their relived mental and physical events.
